As the sun blazes overhead and the heat becomes relentless, find a tranquil oasis in our yoga workshop tailored to beat the summer heat. Whether summer leaves you feeling hot, sluggish, or driven to soak up every moment, this workshop will deliver tips, tricks and tools to help you get the most out of the season without burning out.
Summer is ruled by the pitta dosha, according to Ayurveda, yoga’s “sister science”. Learning to balance this fiery energy provides relief from common summer struggles while fostering a sense of balance. Discover how to use the Ayurvedic clock to design the perfect schedule for your day to balance work, rest and play. No workshop would be complete without “hacks” to enhance your body’s natural ability to stay cool and breathe easy.
The physical practice portion of this workshop will include cooling movements and asana (poses) inspired by the flowing practice of Tai Chi and the stillness and deep stretch benefits of yin yoga. You will also experience pranayama (breathwork), meditation and mood regulation techniques carefully curated to cool the body, calm the mind, and uplift the spirit.
