You’re a busy person who wants to feel better as the days get shorter, so let me get straight to the point.
I wanted to create a training to teach you:
1. The Science of Sleep in a way that is relevant to your life
2. Tips, tricks, and hacks to help you sleep.
3. Low or zero cost lifestyle tweaks that can be incorporated in to your day (ex. how to use lighting throughout the 24 hour cycle).
4. A focus on daytime energy, mood and develop coping skills when your sleep quality is poor, you’re cramming for a test, nursing a new baby or working shift. There’s no point in sleeping well if you feel like garbage all day.
5. A guided practice for when you are lying awake at night.
6. Yoga for Sleep is not a pose or a class, it’s a framework for living more fully.
Okay of course I’m going to include poses, breathwork, affirmations and meditation as well.
I designed this training to be straightforward enough for a newbie to understand and soak up value, but unique enough for seasoned yogis to learn something new. I threw in information and practices around Ayurveda, the doshas, the vayus, mudras, drishti, dinacharya, daily rituals, and more! It’s a little bit of everything. Plus, after every training I send a list of resources and you can join the Facebook group to keep up-to-date: https://www.facebook.com/groups/yogafitforsleep
And I’m going to give a sneak peak at one more topic here that will come up in future posts: these practices are self-care that can help you to feel better, but also look better and support longevity. Yes, it is literally beauty sleep. And I can’t guarantee this 100% because life is unpredictable and I don’t know what’s coming up for you, but if you’re interesting in coming along for the ride, I would love to teach you what I have learned. But more on that later…
We have a few spots left for the October 13 training – register now! This is only offered a few times a year so why wait? According to yoga and Ayurveda, this is actually the perfect time of year to begin making changes for better sleep.
